John Fordell Leone founded LEONE LAW ASSOCIATES, PLLC, after 11 years of private practice throughout Metro Detroit and another 21 years as a Michigan Assistant Attorney General. The Attorney General promoted John to Litigation Specialist as a result of John serving as lead trial and appellate counsel in state and federal courts across a wide range of civil practice: environmental law, administrative law, government permits, corporate entity disputes (corporate veil piercing and officer liability), real property disputes, contract disputes, complex litigation, collections matters, and bankruptcy. John’s earlier private practice included personal injury, medical malpractice, and business law.
In total, over 30 years’ experience with a very broad range of civil arena litigation, including extensive “expert-battle” experience addressing hydrogeology, toxicology (human, plant and animal), engineering (mechanical and other disciplines), medical standards of practice, and business economics (damages). As true throughout his career, John is responsible for all aspects of case management and execution: evidence compilation, litigation/settlement strategy, expert witness preparation, motion practice, lead trial counsel and appellate counsel. John has recently also represented clients in felony and misdemeanor criminal law matters and family law cases.
